Development Director

Lexington Children’s Theatre seeks a development professional with a proven track record in achieving fundraising goals, experience in managing donors and one who excels as a strong relationship builder with a keen understanding of what motivates others. A background in or a working knowledge of professional theatre is highly desirable but not required. The Development Director works with the LCT Board and Staff to create and execute a development plan to meet current and long term budget goals.

 

Duties include, grant writing, sponsor development, donor relations, event planning and annual campaign management. Salary DOE, plus benefits and paid vacation.

SEASONAL POSITIONS

Assistant Technical Director/Master Electrician

THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED for 08/09.
APPLY FOR 09-10 IN JANUARY 2009.

Nine month contract - September through May

Start date is usually the Tuesday after labor day

Completion date is usually the third Saturday of May.

The ATD/ME assists the Technical Director in the execution of our professional nine show season. Responsibilities include assisting with construction, implementation and installation of scenery for each show, as well as maintenance of the scene shop and theatre facilities, may work as board op on some productions, lighting design for at least two shows, supervision of light hang and electrics changeovers, maintenance of theatre lighting systems. More lighting design opportunities may be available for qualified candidates. Applicants with sound design skills have ample opportunities available.

Details:     Salary $200 a week, paid holiday leave, housing provided

Summer Positions

2009 Summer Family Musical Director

Summer Contract - May through August

Musical Director responsibilities include: teaching the songs and their lyrics, serving as the piano accompanist for auditions, rehearsals and performances (or must arrange an accompanist), attending auditions and work with the Director and Choreographer to determine the best casting and working with the Director to assist in the musical arrangements. The Musical Director is responsible for procuring and training all live musicians for the performance.
