At the moment of President
Lincoln’s death, Secretary of War Edwin Stanton announced, “Now he belongs
to the ages.”. Join us for Kentucky’s commemoration of the Lincoln
Bicentennial for the World Premiere of Sandra Fenichel Asher’s play based on
one of the most significant and profound individuals in American history.
“Witness a tribute to his life, as we tell the fascinating story of the son
of poor, uneducated parents who transformed himself into an eloquent orator,
a skillful leader, and, ultimately, President of the United States of
America. What drove him? What inspired him? What fed and supported his
remarkable journey? Though we can never fully know the answers to those
questions, we “keep Mr. Lincoln” by continuing to explore them.” |
